How do I write an application letter for a fuel attendant position? Have a look at this example application letter that fits your needs!

When you apply for a job at a fuel station, it is common to provide a simple letter and/or resume that states why you are the right person for the job. Try to distinguish yourself in favor of the skills they are looking for. Make sure to emphasize those skills to increase the chance of getting the job. There are a few rules to consider writing you want to write a decent application letter according international writing standards, such as:

Step 1: Type your address
Type your address and contact details, including email and telephone number, flush left on the top of the page. It is not necessary to include your name or title here, it will be included in the closing.

Step 2: Type the date
Type the date, in the format: month, day, and year on one line below your address and telephone number, flush left. 

Step 3: Type the recipient's address
Type the name of the recipient's, include the title, and address one line, flush left. Whenever possible, address the letter to the pump manager or hiring manager.

Step 4: Type the salutation
Type the recipient's personal title and full name in the salutation, one line after the recipient's address, flush left, followed by a colon. Leave one line blank after the salutation. Hereby a suggestion: use the recipient's full name unless you usually refer to the individual by a first name. 

Step 5: Compose the letter
In the first paragraph of the letter's body, you state the purpose of the letter. If you are a fresher, it's not a problem for this position. You can use the following content:

I am fresh out of college and I need to have a part-time job to keep me going. I just need you to give me the chance to get a job so that I can get started in my life. Describe in your own words. I would like to apply for this. I can learn very quickly I’m good at listening and taking orders. Make sure to explain your confidence and dedication.

I am a hard worker and meeting deadlines. I live close to the filling station so travel will not be a problem for me as I can walk. Make sure to emphasize the relevant  experience that you might have. I have been a similar job position in another pump already, but since I moved to this area I am ready to change the job location. I think that I understand the methodology of the work and can blend in the working environment quiet fast.

In the paragraphs following, you can use examples to support your enthusiasm for the position. 

In the final paragraph, you need to summarize the purpose of your letter again and suggest a suitable course of action to follow: a personal job interview. Do not indent the paragraphs. But instead, leave an empty line between each paragraph.

Step 6: Close the letter
Close the letter without indentation, leaving three or four lines for your signature between the closing and your typed name and signature.
