Are there going to be Oscars 2021? When and where to watch Oscar nominations? 

If you are planning an Oscars-watching party or playing a pool amongst friends or colleagues? After the many delays of this pandemic year, the Oscar nominations are finally announced. The winners of the 93rd Oscars will be announced on Sunday, April 25th, 2021, at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood. The Oscars also will be televised live in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide.

Some conclusions:
  • Netflix has received the most Academy Award nominations in a year, in a diversity range;
  • Competing for best picture are "Mank", “The Father,” “Judas and the Black Messiah,” “Minari,” “Nomadland,” “Promising Young Woman,” “Sound of Metal” and “The Trial of the Chicago 7.”
  • Netflix’s “Mank” received the most nominations: 10, which includes the best director (David Fincher), best actor (Gary Oldman) and best-supporting actress (Amanda Seyfried), in addition to best picture.
  • The Academy Awards are hosted by Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas.
