Which quality of the diamond is best? Are you looking for a Diamond Quality 4C Sheet template? Our 4C Sheet template is designed to help you quickly evaluate the quality of diamonds. It's easy to use and comes with all the necessary features.

A Diamond Quality 4C Sheet is a uniform way of assessing diamond quality and its overall worth. The 4Cs are a collective enunciation of the distinguishing characteristics of a diamond, which are cut, color, clarity, and carat.

  • Cut
    • A diamond cut is a quality assessment based on its proportions, symmetry, and finish. A diamond with a good cut reflects light well making it more brilliant and fiery. Out of all the 4Cs, the cut is most significant as it enhances a diamond's beauty along with its worth.
  • Color
    • The evaluation of the color of diamonds ranges from D indicating colorless to Z which stands for light yellow or brown. Though classified as colorless, white diamonds are very rare and hence expensive. When a diamond displays colored tints, its market value tends to dip.
  • Clarity
    • The clarity of diamonds speaks to the degree of freedom and the location of such inclusions and blemishes. The clarity scale runs from Flawless (FL) to Included (I) with several classes in between.
  • Carat
    • The carat weight determines the size of the diamond. One carat is 0.2 grams, and diamonds are frequently assessed in points (one point equals 0.01 carats). Generally, the bigger the diamond the more expensive it is, though value also relies on the other 3Cs as well.

A Diamond Quality 4C Sheet is an important document for diamond buyers and sellers in that it helps to evaluate and compare the quality and value of diamonds in a more systematic manner.

Which diamond quality is best?
In diamonds over 1 Carat (where clarity is more important, and SI2 inclusions are often easier to detect), an SI2 is often half the price of a VS1 diamond. About 33% of all diamonds sold fall into the SI1-SI2 range. If you are primarily concerned with size and price, I1 may be the best clarity option.

How can you tell the quality of a diamond?
Take a closer look at the following five ways to check the quality of a diamond. This is the same way as the experts do it:

  • Carat Weight of the Diamond; (The Carat weight is certainly the most objective of all the 4Cs);
  • Color Quality of the Diamond;
  • Clarity Rating of the Diamond;
  • Cut Quality of the Diamond;
  • Diamond Certification.
