How to thank somebody politely for cooperating? We provide a well-drafted Thank you for cooperating template that suits your needs!

Sending a brief letter or note of thanks following an interview to convey appreciation for the opportunity is often overlooked. Some sources estimate only 10% of interviewees send a thank you letter. Great conversations deserve to be followed-up with a kind thank you note. The format of the thank you depends on the organizational culture. A formal business letter (typed, printed out, and mailed) is standard and always appropriate. Email may be appropriate if a decision is to be made quickly or if most correspondence has been via email, but an email can be perceived as less effort on your part. A “Thank You” note card with a handwritten message inside is always acceptable.

The way you present yourself is important and should always get your utmost attention. Communicating in a professional manner will get you respect and will bring you and your company further in life and business. By using our Thank you for cooperating, you will take a head start, which is giving you more time to focus on what really matters!

Dear Mr./Mrs. Name,
Thank you for all for your tremendous help launching the project and for all your wonderful contributions during our recent Project. It was helpful to have your input, since you went through a similar reorganization in your department last year. Without your diligent cooperation, hard work, and several late nights and early mornings, we would not have been able to meet our deadline. And we did so much more than that: thanks to everyone's major efforts, we not only launched on time, but with a wonderful result. We’re already seeing a vast improvement in efficiency thanks to the streamlined processes you suggested, and I'm confident things will run smoothly as the company continues to grow. Your advice was very helpful and gave me a new perspective on available opportunities.
I especially appreciate your offer to connect me to others in your network. I plan on following up with the contacts you emailed me right away. I will also use the online networking resources you recommended to further my job search.
Any additional suggestions you may have would be welcome. I'll update you as my search progresses.
Best regards,

Basics for thank you notes

  • Use the thank you note to reiterate your interest in the position, to clarify or include information that may not have come up in the interview, and to emphasize your qualifications for the job.
  • The letter should be succinct and direct. The primary goal is to express gratitude for the interview.
  • Within two days of the interview, the letter must be delivered.

Tips

  • You should write letters to everyone who interviewed you at the company. This can include the hiring manager, the human resources manager, and anyone else who spoke with you for a sizable portion of the interview.
  • Check names and titles on the website or call the company to be sure if you are doubtful. After the interview, you can also gather business cards and/or contact information.
  • There shouldn't be any spelling or grammatical mistakes because this is another writing sample.
  • Specify the title of the position. Managers of human resources may be interviewing candidates concurrently for multiple positions.

What to write about in your thank you note?

  • Clearly state how interested you are in the job.
  • Thank the interviewer for their time, the chance, the details, and the thought they put into the interview.
  • The same as in your cover letter, show passion for the job.
  • The note may provide you the chance to add details that were not covered in the interview or to elaborate on any points that you felt were not fully covered.
  • Reiterate your gratitude when you end the conversation and provide any other information the interviewer might need.
