How do you prepare a Condolence Speech on the death of a colleague to the family?

If you follow these rules, you certainly can engage and capture your audience's attention instantaneously and do right to the deceased. The person deceased and his family deserves your precious effort and a decent heartfelt farewell. I offer my heartfelt condolences to you and your family at this difficult time.

Keep the following in mind, since this is important when writing so you can deliver a professional and Condolences speech:

  1. Thank you to each and every one of you for being here with us today;
  2. Include the names of the individuals you wish to thank especially;
  3. Know your audience and imagine like you are your audience;
  4. Know the purpose of your speech, and announce in the early beginning, why you will speech;
  5. Give hints to the length of the speech in the beginning;
  6. This speech structure keeps it engaging and can help initiate direct action: apply AIDA; principles (Attention – Interest – Desire – Action);
  7. Use a comfortable way of speaking, ideally in conversation style;
  8. Use regularly short clear sentences or proverbs and compose the speech in short paragraphs;
  9. Keep it brief and informative, without repetition;
  10. Edit and re-edit your speech until it’s satisfying for 110%;
  11. You have to practice the speech a few times to improve the way you deliver the speech: Practice makes perfect!

Heartfelt Condolence Speech sample:
Today, after the loss felt, I offer my heartfelt condolences to you and your family.
 In the name of GOD, today I am standing next to my friend who is no more with us, lying in his/her coffin. I never ever expected that I would be having this day in my life but that’s what life is. It is unpredictable, uncertain, what we expect and what we face. I and {{Friend’s name}} were school/college friends.
He was a wonderful employee who understood the meaning of the word "team." He was always more focused on the good of the company and the department than on his own benefit. He made many great contributions to the company and helped it move forward in numerous ways. His work here will not soon be forgotten. I am so sorry for your loss. While He and I were simply colleagues, he was incredibly kind, and I always enjoyed speaking with him. His presence will be missed. My thoughts are with you and your family.  I know this is a difficult time for you, and I extend my deepest condolences to you and your family for the loss of him. While we only knew each other as coworkers, it was clear that he had a big heart. We are mourning his absence alongside you. I am so sorry for your loss. It is never easy saying goodbye to someone you love.
While [insert name] and I only saw each other at work, I cherished the times our paths crossed. He was a good person, and I extend my sincerest sympathies and condolences for your loss. He and I were more than just colleagues. We were friends. I am struggling to accept this loss, though I know it must pale in comparison to what you are experiencing. My heart sincerely goes out to you and your family. Please accept my deepest sympathies and condolences.
You never know how someone will touch your life. I was a close colleague with him, and he was an integral part of my work life. I am saddened that he has departed, and I am truly sorry for your loss. I hope you find comfort in your family and in your memories during this time. Everyone feels your absence from work and wants to support you. I hope you know that I am here to help with work, and also if you just want to talk. I will not pretend to understand exactly how you feel, but I promise to listen and try to help. I am terribly sorry for your loss.  I do not have the right words to say, but I am thinking about you and am here to support you. It does not have to be now. It could be later or much later. Just know that I am here, and I care. Putting it to the end, the world will never get a guy like him again it always said that God takes the good people too early, but we have to be strong because God might have better plans for him. This is for my brother may your soul rest in peace.
