Introduction
Stockport MBC Crash Investigation Team undertook a Stage 2 Safety Audit for the above on the 9
th
July 2014.
The audit examined road safety implications associated with the CCAG cycle scheme on Manchester Road,
Cheadle..
The crash team identified 1 recommendation, the response to which is set out below.

1 Yes No Although the route goes over Cheadle Bridge this element of
the works is being designed/constructed by Manchester City
Council. It is the Network Engineers understanding that
MCC will be providing a 0.5 metre buffer zone from the
parapet using hatched road markings. This will highlight to
cyclists not to ride adjacent the parapet.
