Inordertograduate,studentsareexpectedtosuccessfullycompletealloftherequired
coursesintheirprogramofstudy.Ifanabsenceisnecessary,thenthefollowingguidelines
forthenumberofacceptablemissedclasssessionsshouldbefollowed.Aclasssessionis
definedasanindividualclassmeeting(includingonline)whichisaportionofthecourse.
Studentsarerequiredtoattendallclasssessions.
Anabsenceofupto2fourhourin‐classsessions(atotalof8hoursofin‐class
instruction)perquarterispermissible.Studentsareexpectedtoalerttheirfaculty
ontheseoccasions.
For online classes, up to 4 online class sessions (a total of 8hoursofonline
instruction)perquartermaybeexcusedwithpriorknowledgeofandagreementof
theinstructor.
Studentsmissingmorethanatotalof8hoursofinstructionpercourseperquarter
asnotedabove,willnotbegivencreditforthecourseandwillhavetorepeatit.
When exceptional circumstances arise, students must consult with their course
instructor, and may be referred to the Academic Program Director and/or the
AssociateDeanforalternativestomakinguptheclasssessionsmissed.
On‐TimeClassAttendancePolicy
InkeepingwiththeRulesofConductoftheCollege,itisexpected that all students will
arrivetoclassinatimelymannerinorderforinstructiontobegin.Studentswhoaremore
than15minuteslateonthreeormoreoccasionsmayhavetheiroverallclassparticipation
gradeaffectedbytheirtardiness.Egregiousactsoftardinesscouldresultindismissalfrom
