Nerve Magazine’s editor takes overall responsibility for the production of,
involvement in and promotion of Nerve Magazine throughout the academic year. As
the key decision maker and with final editorial control of all content, the editor will
work with the section editors, designers and sub-editors to ensure that a top quality
publication is made each month to deadline.

- Regular meetings with section editors and designers to agree content and
deadlines for copy, design and pictures.
- Commissioning illustrations for magazine and ensuring they are delivered to
budget.
- Ensuring that these deadlines are met and offering feedback on quality.
- Dealing with the creation of the final magazine document to print
specification, and ensuring the printers receive it on time, as well as agreeing a
delivery date.
- Overseeing the magazines online version being created and distributed, and
Nerve Magazine’s online presence on the website and through social media
channels.
- Ensuring the magazine and promotion is carried out on budget and to deadline
and agreeing this and feeding it back to SUBU Media Manager in regular 1:1
meetings.
