Scholarship Essay Requirements are listed below:
Jack Moreland Scholarship - Choose one of the following topics and write a 50-200 word
essay.
1. Describe yourself and why you will be successful in college
2. My college plans to study chemistry (or education) and what it means to my future
Gayle & Vernon Hauser - Write a 150-200 word essay describing how your experience
participating in school athletics has helped you prepare for your future.
Covington Professional Firefighters - Write a 150-200 word essay describing the
importance of Firefighters to our community.
Covington Education Foundation – (one time and renewable) – Write a 200 word essay
describing your future plans and why college is necessary to your plans.
Holmes High School Alumni – Write a 150-200 word essay about Holmes High School
Pride.
Covington Education Association – Explain your goals after graduation from college in
150-200 words.
Vogt Family – The Vogt Family Scholarship is focused on supporting students who want to
use the college experience to expand their horizon and find ways to make a difference in the
world. Keeping that focus in mind, we invite you to write an essay on one of the following
topics.
1. You are given a free trip to anywhere in the world. Where would you choose to visit
and why?
2. If you suddenly became so rich that money would never be an issue in your life, what
would you choose to do with your time?
3. If you could snap your fingers right now and have any job you wanted (including the
skills necessary to be successful), what would you choose to do any why?
