John is entrepreneurial economic geologist and since 1988 he has worked as a
geological consultant and later he became a founder and manager of three public
resource companies raising a total of US$60 million which are successfully
exploring and developing gold and base metal projects in Europe, and sub-
Saharan Africa. John previously worked as an associate for consultancies such
as Crowe Schaffalitzky and Associates based in both Ireland and Australia and
as Senior Associate Geologist with Chlumsky Armbrust & Meyer LLC which is
based in Denver, USA. His consulting assignments have taken him from the
Sahel of sub-Sahara to the Tapajos of the Amazon Basin to the far east of
Siberia and the outback of Australia and the jungles of Indonesia. He was part of
very small teams which discovered and sourced several multi-million ounce gold
deposits in Africa. John is professionally accredited geologist (P.Geo and
EurGeol) and holds a Master's Degree in Geology Pennsylvania State University
and a MBA from the Edinburgh School of Business, Heriot-Watt University,
Scotland.
John has demonstrated the tenacity, patience and focus required to successfully
implement many of his visionary ideas over the years. He is very creative in the
way he can negotiate value-creating deals and he is a very effective at marketing
and promoting his ideas in the way he uses the STICK approach to
communicating what are often complex technical ideas in a concrete way that
