Description
CompTIA Network+ covers the configuration, management, and troubleshooting of common wired
and wireless network devices. Also included are emerging technologies such as unified
communications, mobile, cloud, and virtualization technologies. CompTIA Network+ is a midlevel
certification for students that have extensive lab experience. This certification is designed to test the
competency of the student being able to support and configure network design, cabling, hardware
setup, configuration, installation, support, and troubleshooting applications. A student must have
successfully have passed the CompTIA A+ certification prior to taking this exam.

Testing Sites
If the school is not an approved Pearson VUE testing site, then testing centers can be searched online.
However, schools may become testing centers at no additional cost if they meet minimum technical

Required Instructor Qualifications
You must have a Pearson VUE certified administrator proctor the test if you have obtained a testing
site license.

• Must pass a no cost open book exam
• A Pearson VUE administrator cannot hold or be seeking a certification credential from CISCO
