October Conference Call
Our next local agency conference call will be October 5, 2017 at 9 am. Please mark your calendars
and refer to our calendar on our website for the call in information.
We will be reviewing policy updates for FFY 18 (again), eWIC status to date, and other topics TBD. If
you have a topic you would like added to the agenda, please email Kate by September 29
th

eWIC is Here Poster
The state office has revised the “eWIC is Coming Posters” to now read “eWIC is Here”. Please utilize
these revised posters for your local agency’s outreach and distribution.
Please send your order to Kelly no later than 9-22-17.
Nutrition Education Materials
We have a little WIC money at the State Office that needs to be obligated by the end of September.
We are going to be ordering some education materials to send to local offices. Please let us know if
there are specific materials you would like to purchase, and we will attempt to incorporate it into our
order. So far we are considering: NWA Calendars (wall and pocket); Good and Cheap Cookbooks;
Medications and Mothers Milk (books); Wall and Floor mount “Developmental Milestone” blocks
(through CDC); WIC Shopping bags; and, NWA magazines, “Bringing Home Baby”, “Out and About”
and “Let’s Eat!”.
Please email Kate ([email protected]) with your ideas and requests as soon as possible so we can use
the correct channels of purchasing approvals at the State office.
We likely will not order enough for everyone to have a large supply, so once we have all the items at
the SO, we will put out a survey for clinics to ask for what they want and do our best to distribute
accordingly.
