On Tuesday, we visited the Outdoor Wisconsin Leadership School (OWLS)
where we participated in a number of group and individual challenges. The
campers ended the visit climbing a rock wall and most wanted to go back up
a second time. After lunch we spent the afternoon at Williams Bay Beach.

Friday: Campers went inner tubing in Monroe Broadhead. They enjoyed the relaxing time exploring and chatting with friends
on the river. They also had lunch along the way. We then said our goodbyes to the campers and told them we hope to see you
next year. What a great week we all had!
WEDNESDAY-THURSDAY:
CAMPING AT RIVER BEND
RV RESORT
Prior to our camping trip departure, we had a scavenger hunt which took us all over the WSD campus. There was still time left, so we
went inside to work on bird feeder "ornaments" using bagels, peanut butter and bird seeds. They were placed outside in the trees.
After snack time, we loaded the bus and took off for the River Bend Resort where we set up our camp site, tents and all. After an after-
noon of swimming at the resort’s waterpark, we came back to the campsite for brats and hotdogs. We enjoyed the campfire and
s’more's before going off to sleep. After a quiet night sleep under clear skys and stars, we got up and had breakfast. Went over to the
resort activity center to ride bicycle cars before breaking down the campsite. After cleaning up, we swam at the waterpark one more
time before departing for lunch and returning to WSD.

Monday: Our 2015 Middle School Adventure Camp started off with a blast. As in
any new endeavor, time was needed to get accustomed to new surrounding. Intro-
ductions and hand painting our camp T-Shirts started off our morning. Then we
moved over to ice breaker and team building activities. After lunch we went to
Fontana Beach. The water was cool and calm. The campers either swam or were
creative with the sand.
