SUMMER CAMP COUNSELOR FOR YOUTH

Duties & Responsibilities
Camper greeting and check-in
Maintain excellent customer service
Maintain company policies and procedures
Floor supervision and safety of campers
Camp Program facilitation
o Group games/Ice breakers
o Support during belay lessons, knot tying, technique lessons, ascending, zip line, rappelling, etc.
o Craft activities (for younger climbers)
o Controlled transitions between activities
Program Sales
o VE Youth Climbing Team programs
o Birthday Party groups
o Youth climbing equipment
o Winter Break and Spring Break day-long camps
o Summer Camp Outdoor Climbing Trip (monthly)
Facility cleanliness
Experience and Qualifications
Minimum 1 year climbing experience required
Minimum 1 year employment or volunteer experience with school-aged youth preferred
Customer service and sales experience preferred
First Aid training preferred
Expectations
Attend Mandatory Camp Staff Training in late May or early June
20-30 Hours per week (prefer availability for scheduling June 1- August 25)
Daytime Shifts 8:30-5:30 M-F
Must be dependable and punctual
