The class's webpage will be kept up to date with a course description, classroom rules, supply list, homework assignments, announcements, and helpful resources.
I am looking forward to working with both parents and students to make this year great.
Course Description:
We will be covering ancient civilizations to modern history. The primary content for the course pertains to the principles, functions, and organization of the ancient world which has led us to present situations. The course is embedded with strong geographic and sociology components to support world history education instruction.
Attendance / Make-up Work:
Please adhere to Mater Academy's Attendance policy for guidelines and procedures. Make-up work will only be available for excused absences. No make-up work will be given for unexcused absences. The student must also ask the teacher for the make-up work. The teacher will NOT give the student the make-up work without an excused absence and a request for the work. A student who does not turn in an assignment on time will receive a zero for the assignment.
Late Work:
Most homework assignments can be turned in up to 4 days (not class periods) late. Each day your assignments are late 10% will be subtracted from your final assignment grade.
Classroom Rules:
1. Respect yourself and others.
2. Be in your assigned seat when the bell rings.
3. Stay seated unless given permission to move around.
