This procedure ensures document control for an organization. Documents may exist in either paper or electronic format (or both), but document control shall be maintained in both formats. This procedure explains how to establish a document control process. When we refer to a Document, we mean Information and its supporting medium; digital or physical. 

Document control procedure is a part of the Quality management system, which contains all coordinated activities to direct and control an organization with regard to quality. The Quality Manager will be responsible for the control of documents.
