How to grab your future employers' attention when you are applying for a job as a Registered Nurse? Download this sample Job Application Letter now!

In order to get notices, your letter should discuss the following:
  • Where you saw or heard about the position
  • A brief background on the organization and its goals
  • How your experience matches the position
  • How you will help the organization achieve its goals
  • Your objective: an interview

  • Expands upon your resume; do not repeat it verbatim;
  • Includes the person’s full name if you do not know the gender;
  • Limited to 3-4 paragraphs and 1 page;
  • Using common business letter format;
  • No copying of exact words/phrases from sample letters without checking the context;
  • Uses the correct name of the organization;
  • Enthusiastic! Show off your character and personality.

Sample cover letter for registered nurse:

Dear Head Nurse,
My name is {{name}} and I am writing this letter to apply for the senior nursing job position that has come vacant at the hospital as of. I am a registered nurse, certified by the national medical board. I have completed all of my educational and training requirements by accredited institutions. Certificate and other document copies are enclosed herein. I am sharp and quick with all the medical equipment that I may be required to handle at the position. I have great managerial, organizational, and planning skills which I believe will help me manage the junior nurse staff. I am also a good communicator and believe that we need to deal with all the patients with utmost patience, humbleness, and politeness. Please find my resume attached for your further reference.  I look forward to having the opportunity to discuss my application further and am available for an interview at any time. I request you to please consider my application for the position and inform me as soon as a decision regarding the position is made.
